| Rates and Reservations |
The Cleftstone Manor is an 1880 mansion, operated as an inn for 50 years. When you enter the Cleftstone you are transported to the elegance of a bygone era in the only remaining building on "Millionaire's Row" to have survived the devastating fire of 1947.
The public rooms at Cleftstone include a parlor with fireplace, and the original dining room with the 12 foot solid tiger oak dining room table that once belonged to Joseph Pulitzer. Abby's Retreat is a wicker attired sun porch where afternoon refreshments are served daily. Guests begin each day in the breakfast room with a full, served gourmet breakfast with entrée choices. There is also a library with high speed internet access.
The guest rooms are uniquely decorated with private baths and airconditioning. The décor is a tasteful mix of magnificent antiques and elegant reproductions. Many rooms have television and telephone. Five guest rooms have working fireplaces. Other amenities in some rooms include king sized beds, balconies and whirlpool baths.

- Our rates are double occupancy and include breakfast and afternoon refreshments. There is a charge of $20 for each extra person. The Maine state lodging tax of 7% is not included.
- Cleftstone Manor is open from May through October.
- A two night minimum stay is required during July, August and selected weekends.
- A deposit of two nights lodging or half of the total stay, whichever is greater,
is required to confirm a reservation. If you cancel at least two weeks prior
to your visit, we will refund the deposit less a $25 fee. If you cancel within
two weeks of your visit, we reserve the right to retain the entire deposit. Deposits
may be made by check or credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and
American Express.
- The Cleftstone Manor is a smoke free inn. Very suitable for children age 10 and above. We are sorry but we cannot accommodate pets.
